Paratus Telecommunications Limited is seeking a Marketing Executive to join their team in Lusaka, Zambia. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities or duties
Plan, execute, and manage marketing activities with clear, measurable objectives focused on brand awareness, customer retention, acquisition, and revenue growth.
Ensure all marketing initiatives align with both Group and local business strategies, and are well-planned, professionally managed, and delivered within budget.
Support company growth by generating quality sales leads and opportunities aligned with sales and go-to-market objectives.
Drive consistent brand representation and visibility across the country through appropriate marketing channels.
Develop, present, and manage the annual marketing budget in line with company objectives and Group initiatives.
Monitor marketing spend closely, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and minimizing variances.
Maintain up-to-date budget tracking to support informed decision-making and activity adjustments.
Drive and maintain Paratus brand visibility through targeted marketing campaigns, events, and promotional activities.
Ensure the Paratus brand remains visible across relevant platforms such as social media, radio, print, billboards, and digital channels, while analyzing campaign effectiveness.
Plan and execute targeted campaigns and events in collaboration with sales teams to support awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation.
Ensure marketing events and campaigns are well organized, compliant with company processes, and supported by appropriate systems and tools.
Develop performance metrics, measure marketing effectiveness, and continuously optimize strategies based on results and insights.
Qualifications or requirements
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES
- Strong understanding of branding, marketing principles, positioning, and lead generation.
- Well-connected within local marketing and media circles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize marketing performance.
- Ability to understand customer needs and market dynamics and translate insights into impact campaigns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
- Strong planning, organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creative, adaptable, and responsive to changes in the marketing landscape.
- High attention to detail and consistent delivery at a professional standard.
- Understanding of digital technologies (internet, data centre, cloud services) is an advantage.
- Financially astute, with the ability to assess value for money and demonstrate ROI.
- Excellent language proficiency (spoken and written).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and related systems (e.g., Odoo, Monday.com).
- Proactive, self-driven, agile, and flexible.
- Ability to remain professional under pressure, particularly when managing stakeholders, suppliers, and events.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
Experience needed
- 5+ years’ professional experience, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
- Experience in B2B and/or B2C marketing.
- Proven experience in - Campaign planning and execution, Product or service launches and Market research and competitor analysis.
- Plan, execute, and manage marketing activities with clear, measurable objectives focused on brand awareness, customer retention, acquisition, and revenue growth.
