Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Music and/or Art lessons in line with the school curriculum and international best practices.
- Teach practical and theoretical aspects of music (vocal, instrumental, rhythm) and/or visual arts (drawing, painting, crafts, design).
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts.
- Identify, develop, and nurture learners’ artistic and musical talents.
- Organise and support school concerts, exhibitions, performances, and cultural events.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and learner-centred classroom environment.
- Assess learners’ progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Ensure safe handling and proper use of musical instruments and art materials.
- Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents on learners’ progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (experience in private or international schools is an advantage).
- Ability to teach both practical and theory components of Music and/or Art.
- Experience in instrumental music, drama, or creative arts will be an added advantage.

- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers.
