Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Procurement Expeditor to join the versatile Supply Chain team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:
- Communicating Honestly, Transparently, and Acting with Integrity
- Exhibiting a Results-Driven approach
- Delivering solutions that are Fit for Purpose
- Dedicating themselves to Building a Sustainable Legacy
- Taking Responsibility and being Accountable
- Committing to Zero Harm
- Cultivating strong and meaningful Partnerships
Reporting to the Coordinator Procurement, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment of orders by coordinating communication and actions across various departments and external business partners including freight forwarders
Duties and responsibility for this position will include but not limited to the following.
- Contact suppliers on all possible dispatches within a specific period.
- Efficient and timely movement of goods, or information within an organization.
- Coordinate with Freight Forwarders, Vendors and internal teams to monitor delivery schedules and resolve non conformances.
- Generate and communicate expediting reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor order status, resolve delays, and maintain inventory tracking to prevent shortages.
To be considered for the position, one must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply or CIPS equivalent.
- Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
- Experience in the Mining Sector or other busy 24-hour Operation Industries.
- High level of computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel, and any computerized accounting package.
- Conversant with ERP systems i.e. SAP System
