Job purpose

To lead and control all manufacturing operations during the assigned shift — from cleaning to final packing — ensuring achievement of production targets, product quality, and safe working conditions as per 260 Brands’ operational standards.

Key responsibilities

1. Shift Operations

  • Manage all production processes during the shift
  • Ensure shift production targets and output quality are achieved.
  • Conduct shift handover with proper documentation and communication.
  • Monitor critical process parameters and take immediate corrective actions when deviations occur.
  • Ensure adequate availability of raw materials, packaging, and manpower for smooth operations.

2. Quality & Food Safety

  • Implement and maintain FSSC 22000, GMP, GHP, and HACCP principles during the shift.
  • Ensure all CCP’s and quality checks are followed as per standard procedures.
  • Coordinate with the QA team for product sampling, inspection, and corrective measures.
  • Report any quality deviation or contamination immediately and assist in root cause analysis.

3. Manpower Supervision

  • Allocate and supervise shift workers efficiently across sections.
  • Ensure discipline, attendance, and adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Conduct basic training and refreshers on machine operation and safety.
  • Encourage teamwork and ensure operator accountability for assigned machines.

4. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination

  • Ensure all equipment is operated within safe and efficient parameters.
  • Report breakdowns or abnormalities immediately to maintenance.
  • Support preventive maintenance schedules and ensure machines are cleaned and ready for next shift.

5. Data Recording & Reporting

  • Record all shift production data accurately (output, downtime, material usage, rejections).
  • Submit daily production and variance reports to Production Manager.
  • Maintain logs for quality deviations, breakdowns, and manpower allocation.

6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Enforce strict PPE usage and safety compliance within the shift.
  • Conduct pre-start safety checks and ensure safe housekeeping conditions.
  • Report and investigate near misses or incidents promptly.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Food Technology, Production, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–4 years of experience in food or FMCG manufacturing (preferably in extrusion or cereal-based processing).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with hands-on technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and plant safety standards
