Global Health Corps (GHC) mobilizes a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity. The Internship
We seek a detail-oriented, creative problem-solver with strong program management and analytical skills who will work closely with GHC staff to assist with a range of projects supporting our post-fellowship alumni programming. The intern will provide cross-team support to ensure that our programs are implemented efficiently and internal systems and databases function optimally. The intern will learn about GHC programs and operations through participation in regular team and staff meetings. The role of the Program Impact intern will be mainly centered on Alumni program support, assisting with program implementation, documentation of knowledge management and lessons learned and data management.
Responsibilities

Programmatic Responsibilities
• Support the development of program materials such as graphics, Google Forms, participation rosters, training modules, workshops, webinars, and speaker series in collaboration with the Community Impact Team and Country Teams
• Support the coordination of quarterly calls with chapter members and Country Team staff in GHC’s alumni chapter countries of operation, to facilitate exchange of best practices and experiences of alumni in other countries.
• Research best practices and tools for communication and information sharing platforms for our alumni community
• Support the development and implementation of a strategy for conducting a mapping of the GHC alumni community including their experiences, skills, needs, participation, and networks to drive programming and engagement.
• Coordinate with the Country Teams and support the development and implementation of professional development opportunities aligned with their National Strategy for Community Impact and support alumni engagement, community building and collaboration to ensure strong participation in and positive experiences from events and programs
• Research global health and leadership development programming, partnerships and opportunities to support in the design and development of our alumni strategy
Data Management And Knowledge Management
• Maintain and update the resources, announcements and program content on GHC’s online portal for community members and draft new promotional content, as needed
• Support the Implementation of a knowledge management system for our evolving internal alumni team
• Support the development and execution of community program activity surveys for GHC community members
• Work with GHC’s global teams to develop best practice documentation, process maps, work plans, etc. for implementing our alumni programming
• Maintain and update the engagement tracker and ensure that all alumni participation is documented
• Ensure that all master documents for alumni programs are up to date
Qualifications
• Strong program management and support skills
• Strong communication skills (written and oral); particularly experience distilling and communicating processes or systems for learning
• Experience leading meetings, groups, volunteer committees, team projects, etc. particularly in developing agendas and session content and/or executing events
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for problem solving; willing to do tedious work at times to ensure project success
• Curious and observant to the connections between projects and workflows
• Interest in global health, leadership development, and health workforce development
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic; ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality products
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel is desired
• Ability to use Google apps such as Google drive, Google forms, Google sheets
• Graphic design skills such as Canva is a plus but not required
Internship timeline: January-July 2022 with the possibility for a different timeline for the right candidate
