REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies, Education, Political Science, Economics or any other related fields. Masters' Degree in the relevant fields is an added advantage.

Minimum 4 years' experience as a Programme(s) Manager or Head of Programmes in a civil society organisation.

Demonstrated knowledge of emerging issues in the social sector in Zambia.

Demonstrated understanding of basic financial management processes and procedures.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Excellent team coordination

Strong communication and advocacy skills

Excellent writing skills in technical reports, speeches and other professional correspondence.

Fundraising skills and proposal development

Good donor liaison and engagement skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Full Package)

Project Management skills and certification is a plus

Strong M and E skills, including data analysis and use of digital data capturing knowledge and skills such as Kobbo collect among others.

Experience in donor management is a must

  • Lead programme management and programme development functions of CSPR
  • Lead and coordinate all donor reporting aspects to ensure consistent and timely submissions to all donors as per requirements.
  • Implement the Networking and Coalition Building Programme interventions under the CSPR Strategic Plan.
  • Represent the organisation on high level strategic programme platforms to enhance CSPR's role to enhance social protection, SDGs, human rights, and social accountability
  • Ensure the CSPR programme is fully aligned with programme quality standards and enforces these, including environmental, sustainability standards for the organization.
  • Resolve programme issues and initiate appropriate corrective action as well as maintaining programme integrity and quality.
  • Maintaining the programme's consistency and coherence with corporate, technical and specialist standards.
  • Identify, assess, and plan programmes, managing dependencies and interfaces among projects.
  • Supervise Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning in the organisation.
  • Assess and Monitor Programmes Staff Performance
  • Fundraise for projects and organisational operations
  • Support the convening of the Network Council Annual General Meetings in liaison with the Executive Director
