JOB DETAILS:

*About the Role**:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented **Project Finance Officer** to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that construction and telecommunications projects are completed on time and within budget. You will support the Finance Director in monitoring project expenses, closing project retirements, and ensuring all financial operations are compliant with company policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
– **Monitor Project Budgets**: Track project expenses and ensure they are within approved budgets, updating the Finance Director regularly.
– **Project Close-Out**: Assist in closing project accounts by ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
– **Cash Flow Management**: Help monitor cash flow for projects, ensuring that expenses are in line with forecasts.
– **Reporting & Communication**: Provide financial updates and collaborate with project teams to gather necessary financial information.
– **Cost Control**: Track project costs and report any budget deviations or risks to the Finance Director.
– **Financial Documentation**: Maintain accurate records and ensure all project financial documents are filed correctly.

**Key Requirements**:
– **Qualification**: Certificate or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
– **Membership**: Must be a Student or Technician member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
– **Skills**:
– Basic knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
– Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar financial software.
– Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project teams.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

**Desirable Skills**:
– Previous experience in project finance or accounting is an advantage.
– Basic understanding of project management processes.
– Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
