About the Job
The objective of this role is to manage and support the facilitation of the Informal Finance thematic portfolio. The Project Manager IF will work under the supervision of the Head-Informal Finance and closely collaborate with other thematic, analytics and operational areas. The Project Manager will specifically provide support in conceptualizing and supervising Informal Finance interventions and will be instrumental in program backstopping and engagement with stakeholders. .

• Ability to monitor and keep track of all program progress and contractual deadlines Timely and strong in assessing priorities and completing them to deadlines.

Job Qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in development studies; business administration or any related field. Master's degree is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years' professional experience of which 3 years should have been in a substantive role in supporting savings group implementation among poor rural households, preferably in the field.
• A clear understanding of the Zambian and global informal finance landscape, and role of the informal financial sector in economic development and financial inclusion.
• Excellent collaboration skills with demonstrated ability with various partners, including government, private sector, and NGOs.
• A motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision, adhering to deadlines and used to meeting targets.
• IT literate with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point The ability to produce consistently high-quality written outputs, demonstrating attention to detail and understanding.
• Experience facilitating training modules using adult education/participatory methods
• Experience developing, managing and implementing multi-party projects with defined objectives, deliverables, monitoring and evaluation of results.
• Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, enthusiasm, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a team effort. Team engagement is critical.
