The Position
Urban Bliss Hotel is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurants and bar. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will ensure smooth operations, maintain high service standards, and drive customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar and restaurant outlets.
- Design menus, manage purchasing, and implement continuous improvements.
- Identify customer needs and respond proactively to concerns.
- Lead, train, and develop restaurant staff, including appraisal, and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food and beverage quality.
- Handle inventory management, ordering supplies, and stock control efficiently.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract customers and improve profitability.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
- Monitor budgets, sales, and overall financial performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, Food Production, or related field.
- Hotel and Catering Certificate or Diploma is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a four-star hotel environment.
- Highly organized, focused, and results-driven.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
