Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain an inventory of participating beneficiaries by mapping individual homesteads to implement household payouts based on intervention performance in all 5 zones and any new areas added to the project in Lusaka Province.
• Assist the CEO in preparing the annual budgets and work plans, with a focus on intervention planning, coordinating, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure research activities are well-planned, executed, and reported weekly.
• Coordinate monitoring, data collection, skills development, technical support, and mobilization of different community-based entities. Engage zone committees and village leaders in all project activities with consultation from all local stakeholders.
• In conjunction with the Community Development Officer and Community Facilitator, develop user group information to form efficient and effective producer groups. Coach them to create detailed work plans, entrepreneurial marketing plans, and conduct quarterly update meetings.
• Facilitate training for both farmers and lead farmers in farming, business skills, and record-keeping to ensure food security, while coordinating efforts with local camp officers under the Ministry of Agriculture.
• Work closely with the project team to implement and adapt fire management tools at the village and household level, as per the project design.
• Maintain close collaboration with existing and new partners in the operational area to implement programs.
• Represent the CEO in meetings with important stakeholders and at high-level events, as needed.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Education, Training, and Experience:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Agriculture, Community Development, Social Science, or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Experience in climate-smart agriculture program implementation.
• Community Engagement and Leadership skills.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Adaptive and willing to work in a rural setup.
