Our client in Lusaka is looking for a Store Counter Sales Representative to join their team for a job vacancy within the automotive industry.
Sales and Business Development
• Identify and secure new business opportunities by establishing contact with prospects and converting them into clients.
• Handle inbound sales enquiries and follow up on leads.
• Showcase our product or service to potential customers, highlighting its benefits and how it addresses their needs.
Customer Relationship Management
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with the company’s products and services.
• Utilizing CRM systems to collect, analyse, and interpret customer data to identify trends, preferences, and areas for improvement
- Product Knowledge, Advice and Market Intelligence
•Possess in-depth technical knowledge of tyres and accessory products, including features, benefits, and how they meet customer needs.
•Understand practical aspects of fitting and stripping tyres, identifying defects, and knowledge of wheel alignment principles. Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to provide strategic guidance.
POS Transactions
•Prepare and process sales orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
•Support branches with quote requests and sales record maintenance
Fitment Coordination & Service Delivery
•Coordinating the schedules of fitment teams.
•Ensuring the availability of necessary materials and tools for fitments.
•Maintaining clear and consistent communication with fitment teams, customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
•Monitoring the quality of fitment work, ensuring it meets company standards and customer expectations.

Knowledge of the sales and marketing fields, preferably in consumer durables and/or fast-moving consumer goods. Bilingual – Fluent in English and the local language Strong analytic/number-crunching background, particularly with sales and marketing data. High level of comfort working with high-level business clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, a desire to ‘sell for good’ and willing to get your “hands dirty”. Experience developing business strategies and plans. Experience managing key accounts across a range of distribution channels. Previous experience in market research or M&E. Sales & distribution work experience.
