About the job

Responsibilities

Strategic Management

  • Collaborate with Operations, Country Managers, Site Managers, and Heads of Departments to develop and implement data-driven strategies
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives
  • Monitor progress against strategic goals and identify areas for improvement

Digitisation & Process Improvement

  • Identify manual processes suitable for digitisation and automation
  • Develop business process maps and user journey flows for digital solutions
  • Support implementation of digital systems and manage change processes
  • Provide training and guidance to teams during system adoption

Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse operational activities to identify efficiency and performance improvement opportunities
  • Implement and support continuous improvement (CI/BI) initiatives across operations
  • Establish governance structures for business improvement aligned with standard operating models
  • Develop and assess value propositions for operational improvement projects

Reporting & Data Analytics

  • Develop and manage KPI tracking dashboards (Power BI, Excel, etc.)
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics, innovation initiatives, and operational outputs
  • Prepare production, engineering, and project performance reports
  • Support management with SLA tracking and service delivery performance
  • Generate regular reports to support decision-making across operations

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Engineering (Metallurgy, Industrial, Civil, Chemical or related field)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain (advantageous)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and DAX

Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in mining, metals, manufacturing, or related industries
  • 1–2 years’ experience in Business Improvement, Process Engineering, or Production environments
  • Experience in implementing business improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Experience in developing SOPs and training operational teams
  • Experience in value chain management and SLA performance monitoring

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage change and drive transformation initiatives
  • High attention to detail and quality control
  • Data-driven decision-making capability
