JOB ADVERTISEMENT: TEMPORARY STORES OFFICER
Organisation: Zambia International Trade Fair Trust (ZITFT)
Location: Ndola, Zambia
The Zambia International Trade Fair Trust (ZITFT) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Stores Officer within the Procurement Department. The role is responsible for the effective management of stores, inventory control, and supporting smooth operational continuity of the Trust.
1. REPORTING LINE
The Temporary Stores Officer will report to the Procurement Officer.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Receive, store, issue, and account for all stores items and inventories.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, including transferred and obsolete items.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper housekeeping within the stores.
- Ensure availability of critical consumables and raise timely replenishment requests.
- Ensure all issued and received items are supported by approved documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular inventory, consumption, and stock status reports.
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
- Diploma or Degree in Stores Management, CIPS, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
4. SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High levels of integrity, honesty, and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, hardworking, and a strong team player.
