MFLIZAEDP/G/0059/2022: Tender for the Supply and Delivery of furniture for the three (3) Laboratories at the Aquaculture Research Institute in Kafue District under the Zambia Aquaculture Enterprise Development Project (ZAEDP).

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has received financing from the African Development Bank and the Republic of Zambia towards the implementation of the Zambia Aquaculture Enterprise Development Project (ZAEDP). The Ministry now intends to apply part of the proceeds of the funds to payments on the contract for the supply and delivery of laboratory equipment for Three (3) laboratories at the Zambia Aquaculture Research Institute in Kafue District, namely: (1) Food Safety Laboratory, (2) Fish Feed Laboratory, and (3) Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory

Pursuant to Section 39 of the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock now invites sealed bids from eligible citizen bidders to bid for the supply and delivery of laboratory equipment for Three (3) laboratories at the Zambia Aquaculture Research Institute in Kafue District, namely: (1) Food Safety Laboratory, (2) Fish Feed Laboratory, and (3) Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory.

Interested and eligible citizen bidders may obtain further information, inspect and purchase the bidding document from the Office of the Head, Procurement and Supplies Unit, Third Floor, Mulungushi House, Room 310, Independence Avenue from 08:00 hours to 12:45 hours and 14:00 hours to 16.45 hours.

A Bidding Document in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ZMW500.00

The bidding will be conducted through Open National Bidding, a procedure specified in the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020 and its Regulations. The bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders (I.T.B) contained in the bidding document.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days and must be delivered to the address provided below on or before Friday, 9 September 2022 at 10.00 hours local time. The pre-bid meeting will take place on Tuesday 23“ August, 2022 at the Zambia Aquaculture Enterprise Development Project (ZAEDP). Plot 13A, ReedBuck Road, Kabulonga at 10:00 hours.

Submission procedure

Bids shall be appropriately bound, sealed, bold labeled and clearly marked 'MFLIZAEDP/G/0059/2022: TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF FURNITURE FOR THE 3 LABORATORIES AT THE ZAMBIA AQUACULTURE RESEARCH INSTITUTE IN KAFUE DISTRICT UNDER THE ZAMBIA AQUACULTURE ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (ZAEDP) and must be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the Office of the Head, Procurement and Supplies Unit, Third Floor Mulungushi House, Room 310.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration.

The closing date for the receipt of bids is Friday, 9 September 2022 at 10:00 hours local time, and any bids received after the time and date stipulated above shall be rejected and returned unopened to the bidder. The bids will be opened soon after closing in the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, on the Third Floor Room 310, Mulungushi House, Lusaka in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

LATE BIDS AND TELEFAX OFFERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
