Our client is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessors to support their workforce with compliance and safety initiatives. The role will focus on providing high-quality training and assessment in Compliance and Safety.
The successful candidates will have to deliver targeted competency-based training aligned with industry standards and organisational objectives.
Role Overview
- Provide training and awareness on compliance and safety procedures, best practices, and risk management to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Ensure that all personnel accessing the mine site have the required knowledge and skills to work safely and avoid potential hazards, incidents, and injuries.
Key Responsibilities
Role Overview
- Develop and deliver compliance and safety training materials, manuals, and curricula aligned with organisational standards.
- Facilitate induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness through tests, assessments, and feedback.
- Align training interventions with e-learning platforms and conduct theory and practical assessments.
- Maintain training records, issue certifications, and manage schedules using INX Intuition.
- Ensure training aligns with planned task observations (PTOs) and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with safety and environmental standards, reporting incidents as needed.
- Prepare daily training activity reports and recommend program improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Formal qualifications in Learning and Development (e.g., Diploma in Teaching Methodology) or the ability to obtain them.
- Registration as a Training Professional with TEVETA.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in occupational health and safety, including at least one year in learning and development (preferably in the mining industry).
- Proficient in developing and delivering compliance and safety training packages.
- Skilled in training needs assessments, mentoring, coaching, and facilitation.
