To supervise the drivers and fleet of vehicles in order to facilitate mobility of officers, materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Driver Supervision

  • Supervises effectively all the drivers in order to ensure they adhere to safety regulations and standards
  • Conducts regular driver performance evaluations
  • Maintains driver logbooks and records

2. Fleet Management

  • Manages effectively provision of transport in order to facilitate mobility of human, materials and equipment
  • Prepares monthly vehicle allocation schedules
  • Monitors fuel consumption and vehicle utilization

3. Vehicle Maintenance

  • Undertakes regularly basic vehicle inspection in order to ascertain its road worthiness
  • Coordinates scheduled vehicle servicing and repairs
  • Maintains comprehensive vehicle maintenance records

4. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensures all vehicles have valid insurance and road tax certificates
  • Prepares monthly fleet performance reports
  • Implements GPS tracking system monitoring

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory Requirements

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or its equivalent
  • Diploma in Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)
  • Valid Driver's Licence - Class C
  • At least three (3) years' post qualification work experience in a similar role
  • Must be a Zambian citizen

  • Basic knowledge of mechanics
  • Computer literate
