To supervise the drivers and fleet of vehicles in order to facilitate mobility of officers, materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Driver Supervision
- Supervises effectively all the drivers in order to ensure they adhere to safety regulations and standards
- Conducts regular driver performance evaluations
- Maintains driver logbooks and records
2. Fleet Management
- Manages effectively provision of transport in order to facilitate mobility of human, materials and equipment
- Prepares monthly vehicle allocation schedules
- Monitors fuel consumption and vehicle utilization
3. Vehicle Maintenance
- Undertakes regularly basic vehicle inspection in order to ascertain its road worthiness
- Coordinates scheduled vehicle servicing and repairs
- Maintains comprehensive vehicle maintenance records
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensures all vehicles have valid insurance and road tax certificates
- Prepares monthly fleet performance reports
- Implements GPS tracking system monitoring
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Requirements
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or its equivalent
- Diploma in Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)
- Valid Driver's Licence - Class C
- At least three (3) years' post qualification work experience in a similar role
- Must be a Zambian citizen
Required Skills & Attributes

- Able to write reports
- Able to communicate in English
- Sober habits and confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of mechanics
- Computer literate

- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Attention to detail

Work Conditions
- Office and field work environment
- May require overtime and weekend work
- Regular interaction with drivers and mechanics
