Job Summary:
The Travel Agency Manager is responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the travel agency. This role involves leading a team of consultants, developing business strategies, fostering relationships with key vendors, and ensuring exceptional customer service to drive sales and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business and marketing plans to achieve sales targets.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of travel consultants.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, airlines, hotels, and other travel suppliers.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and new market opportunities.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve complex issues.
- Ensure the agency complies with all industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, promotions, and local outreach.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a travel agency.
- In-depth knowledge of the travel industry, including GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
- Strong leadership, sales, and people management skills.
- Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills.
- Business acumen with experience in P&L management.
