Location: Lusaka, Lusaka Province

The Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses to join our front-of-house team. As the face of Seventeen, you will play a key role in creating memorable dining and bar experiences for our guests. Whether you’re serving meals, pouring drinks, or simply offering a warm welcome, your energy and attention to detail will make all the difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain specials and take food and drink orders accurately.
- Serve meals and beverages efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Handle payments, operate POS systems, and manage customer tabs Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service areas, and workstations.
- Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, or feedback promptly and positively.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service flow.
- Adhere to food hygiene, health & safety, and responsible alcohol service.
Experience & Education:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role in hospitality (restaurant, bar, café, or similar) is preferred.
- Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash/card transactions is an advantage.
- Candidates with no prior experience but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will also be considered.
- Minimum secondary school education (GCE) and a diploma in hospitality or from Fairview
- Additional training or certification in food safety, responsible alcohol service, or customer service is a plus.
- On-the-job training will be provided.

- A friendly and positive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with strong attention to detail.
- Well-groomed, punctual, and reliable.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
