Job Overview: we seeking a dedicated and results-driven Workshop After-Sales Officer to join our Lusaka operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the service department in delivering quality after-sales services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate vehicle servicing and repair activities within the workshop.
- Act as the link between customers and workshop technicians to ensure timely and effective resolution of service issues.
- Monitor job card processing, service scheduling, and follow-up on completion timelines.
- Assist in managing spare parts requisitions and availability for ongoing jobs.
- Ensure all customer concerns and service-related issues are addressed professionally and promptly.
- Keep accurate records of all after-sales activities including customer feedback, complaints, and completed work orders.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to uphold workshop quality standards and operational efficiency.
- Provide support in warranty claim documentation and follow-ups.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in after-sales service or workshop coordination in the automotive industry (commercial vehicles preferred).
- Good understanding of truck/bus mechanical systems and workshop operations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workshop/job card management systems.
- Knowledge of FAW, Sino, or Golden Dragon vehicles will be an added advantage.
Identify and engage potential customers for spare parts sales. Recommend solutions to customers and prospects (Customer Relationship Management). Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products. Coming up with market expansion strategies Do market research, competitor analysis and understanding client needs. Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall company profitability. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features and benefits. Compiling weekly reports. Attain Full product knowledge by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations. Negotiate sales contracts and close deals effectively. Provide after-sales support and address customer inquiries. Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional activities. Keep accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
