REPORTING STRUCTURE Reporting: Operations Manager

Location: Kalumbila, Northwestern Province

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment

 Direct and plan the daily activities of the workshop, including scheduling work, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

 Lead and manage workshop staff, assistant mechanics, and auto electrician

 Oversee inventory, spare parts procurement

 Implement and enforce quality control measures, conduct regular inspections, and address any quality issues promptly.

 Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, conduct audits, and enforce HSE protocols

 Implement security and control systems to safeguard all equipment and tools

REQUIREMENTS

 Grade 12 School Certificate

 Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 Minimum 5 years of hands-on workshop experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.

 Hands-on experience with lifting equipment (cranes, forklifts and telehandlers)

 Strong Knowledge of tools, equipment and repair techniques.  Proven leadership in planning, safety, and operational efficiency

 Registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia

 Valid Zambian driving license, class c will be an added advantage.

 Excellent organizational skills

 Ability to supervise and train staff

 Problem-solving abilities

 Valid Silicosis Certificate

 Suitably qualified applicants must provide certificates which have been verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZQA)
