VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: ADMINISTRATION CLERK

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the positions of Administration Clerk to join the versatile Maintenance Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely administrative support to site operations. Ensure smooth day-to-day coordination of documentation, schedules, procurement support, site access, and reporting, enabling frontline teams to deliver safely and efficiently.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain and file operational documents, permits, safety files, and training records.
  • Prepare letters, memos, meeting minutes, and distribute communication to stakeholders.
  • Capture timesheets, attendance, and overtime; verify supporting documentation.
  • Update shift rosters and leave calendars; liaise with supervisors on changes
  • Raise purchase requisitions, goods receipts, and service entries in line with procedures.
  • Track orders, follow up with vendors, and coordinate with the warehouse for deliveries, PPE, and stationery.
  • Process invoices, reconcile statements, and assist with cost allocations
  • Coordinate inductions, access permits, and medical/fitness bookings for employees and contractors.
  • Capture incident reports, action items, inspections, and toolbox attendance
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, and site transport; maintain visitor logs.
  • Use MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and site systems (e.g., SAP/SharePoint) to ensure data accuracy.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
  • Minimum Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Significant 1 year experience as a clerk preferably in mining, maintenance, or similar.
  • Knowledge of maintenance parts, components, and consumables used in mining equipment (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in MS software and exposure to SAP.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance environment with competing priorities.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
