We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Application Lead to provide essential support to our client, a telecom group operating in Zambia offering mobile, data and fintech services. The Application Lead will be responsible for managing businesses, IT processes, business systems for end customer, coordination and accountability for resolution of tickets/issues, handling customer requirements and getting it executed through the central team, and people management.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management

  • Ensure daily KPI is loaded according to the agreed SLA.
  • Conduct business Intelligence Analysis (Revenue stats and Trends) to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure report availability.

Applications Management

  • Ensure 100% availability and accessibility of all the organization’s applications and any other system as assigned.
  • Ensure the organization’s change management procedures are adhered to in all raised and logged changes.
  • Ensure the customers access procedures are adhered to as per security policy.
  • Ensure user ID audit management is conducted as per the organization’s security policy.

Ticket Management

  • Manage and coordinate resolution of tickets or incidents within agreed SLA.
  • Ensure ticketing tool availability.

Operations Management

  • Manage business and IT processes for the customer.
  • Manage customer requirements via various support teams.
  • Bridge the gap between the central team and the organization to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Report and track all issues raised by various support teams.
  • Collect and maintain Artifacts for ISO certification.
  • Coordinate the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the organization.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science, or other related disciplines.
  • Professional qualification in Applications technologies, System Architecture and Security.
  • Professional Qualification in ITIL.
  • 6-8 years’ work experience.
  • Must have experience in Telco Domain.
  • Must understand local Africa Landscape.
  • Must have experience in Telco applications like point of sale, Billing, BI, Bank Integrations (may have technical skills in some telco/ERP applications), Campaign Management, Understanding of Unica, Cognos PL/SQL, Unix Other requirements.
  • Fluent in local dialect.
  • People management.
  • Solid communication and customer-facing skills.
