Job Summary:
We are seeking talented Bakers/Pastry Chefs to produce high-quality baked goods at our new Quick Service Restaurant in Ndola. This role involves working under the Head Baker to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and desserts as per the Head Baker’s recipes.
- Assist in developing new recipes and improving existing ones.
- Ensure consistency in the quality and presentation of baked goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized baking area, following hygiene standards.
- Monitor ingredient levels and assist with inventory management.
- Work efficiently to meet production demands during busy periods.
- Support the Head Baker in maintaining bakery standards and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in baking or pastry production.
- Experience in a QSR, bakery, or high-volume setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and equipment.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and handle high-volume production.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Must be a Copperbelt resident or willing to relocate to Ndola.
Oversee the production of a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts. Develop recipes and ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Manage the bakery team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Monitor inventory levels and order baking supplies to ensure uninterrupted production. Maintain a clean and safe bakery environment, adhering to hygiene standards. Collaborate with the Head Chef to align bakery offerings with the overall menu. Introduce seasonal or specialty baked goods to attract customers
