CASHIERS

The Advertiser seeks to employ suitably qualified, competent, and customer-focused individuals to fill the position of Cashiers in a Bureau de Change and Tellers for Business Agency transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle foreign exchange and local currency transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive and process payments (cash and other accepted forms) in accordance with company procedures.
  • Balance and reconcile cash floats at the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy.
  • Provide very excellent customer service, assist clients with queries related to transactions.
  • Record all transactions electronically and maintain accurate transactional records.
  • Open and close tills/transaction points as required and follow opening/closing cash handling procedures.
  • Adhere to internal controls, compliance and anti-money-laundering (AML) procedures, as well as company policies and guidelines.
  • Report discrepancies, suspicious activities, or system errors to the supervisor promptly.
  • Support general branch operations as directed by the Branch Manager or Supervisor.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Finance or any Business-related field.
  • Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of four (4) credits, including Mathematics and English.
  • Previous experience as a retail cashier or in a sales-related role will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash registers and POS systems, with strong arithmetic skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
