Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly committed employees for the position of Construction Supervisor – LEP (Fixed Term Contract) to join the Lumwana Expansion Project Team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Assistant Construction Manager – LEP, you will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and safety protocols.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and manage contractors and labor teams, providing direction and support to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure it meets quality standards and appropriate codes and regulations.
• Enforce safety practices on-site, conducting safety meetings and training sessions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Serve as a liaison between project management, clients, and crew members, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns that arise.
• Identify potential issues in the construction process and develop effective solutions to mitigate risks and delays.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including reports on progress, labor, materials used, and any incidents or changes.
• Ensure that work complies with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Conduct safety inspections and training sessions to promote a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate.
• Minimum of a Degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering or related field .
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia.
• A minimum of 3 years of construction experience in the mining industry and/or similar projects as a construction supervisor, particularly TS and WSF construction.
• Proven experience in construction management software.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in construction management Software.
• MS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
