Skills2Live Zambia is a locally registered non-governmental organization committed to youth empowerment through skills development. Over the years, Skills2Live Zambia has supported and trained over 1,000 young people in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and life skills across Zambia.

Skills to live Zambia is seeking dynamic, highly motivated, and qualified individuals to join its team as Enumerator(s).

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Organization: Skills to live Zambia

Reports to: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer

Contract Type: Fixed Term (1 months)

Deadline for Applications: 30th January 2026

The successful candidate will be responsible for explaining the research to participants, data collection, ensuring adhering to ethical standards, transcribing, transcription and synching of data. Data collection will be conducted in Mtendere, Chawama, Kabwata, Ng’ombe and Chazanga.

Key Responsibilities

Data collection:

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from eligible program beneficiaries using structured questionnaire and in-depth interview guide and electronic platforms like Kobo Tool box.
  • Respond to enquiries regarding data as requested by supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all data collected.
  • Compile and prepare daily and weekly update reports.
  • Qualitative data transcription and translation.

Ethical consideration:

  • Work with Skills to live Zambia staff to identify program beneficiaries who meet the study inclusion criteria.
  • Explaining the study to the participants.
  • Consent study participants before any study specific activity is conducted.
  • Ensure compliance with Skills to live Zambia, national and international guidelines and ethics governing implementation of human subjects’ research.
  • Report any adverse events within 24 hours and protocol deviations to the supervisor.

Quality assurance:

  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely capture of all study data into electronic databases, review and make necessary corrections to the data.
  • Liaise with monitoring and evaluation staff to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data on entering study participant’s data into study database.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Diploma/degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Education, Health, Monitoring and Evaluation or any related program.
  • Certificate in research methods, monitoring and evaluation, data analytics or any other related field will be an added advantage
  • Proven experience in conducting research.
  • Human Subjects Protection (HSP) or Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training courses on research ethics.
  • Experience in use of electronic data collection tools e.g., Kobo tool box.
  • Demonstrate understanding of research principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office packages (Excel, word, PowerPoint).
  • 5 Ordinary Level Passes including English Language.

Skills and Competencies

  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Minimum 1-year experience collecting qualitative and quantitative research data including abstracting client-level data.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-driven.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds in health facilities.
  • Able to demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write local languages (Nyanja, bemba or Tonga).
