Job Purpose

The Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that goods are efficiently received, stored, and dispatched according to organizational procedures and standards to right customers and in good time. Take charge of managing a team of warehouse staff, coordinating with transportation services, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Summary of key responsibilities:

• Supervise daily distribution center operations
• Carry out all the Stock Keeping Units of products.
• Be precise and meticulous so as not to incur either shortage or overage
• Ensure to control the loading of stocks on the sales vehicle.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving departments
• Conduct regular safety checks
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
• Lead and mentor distribution team
• Ensure the stocks in the van is kept clean and not damaged.Conduct routine audits for proper handling and storage
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures
• Address employee concerns and grievances
• Oversee maintenance and operation of distribution equipment
• Resolve logistical issues or discrepancies
• Collaborate with sales, procurement and customer service departments
• Plan and coordinate daily tasks and assignment
• Identify and address potential bottlenecks or delays
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Logistics and Transport Management or related
• Must have a minimum of at least 4+ years work experience in distribution management and sales in the FMCG sector
• Proven experience in sales and distribution in the FMCG sector will be a plus
• Must be a member of ZCILT and CILT
• Must have a Clean Valid Driver’s license
