EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons .
  • Prepare and maintain a well-organised, stimulating learning environment.
  • Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Observe, assess, and document learners’ progress.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and self-directed learning.
  • Develop and maintain learner portfolios and classroom records.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on learners’ development.
  • Uphold child safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school management

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Montessori experience is a strong advantage.
  • Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in early childhood setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and child-centred learning.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
