Background
Walusungu Guest House Ltd. is a premier hospitality destination in Kabwe, known for excellence and exceptional service. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations and deliver an outstanding culinary experience to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Develop, cost, and execute diverse menus for à la carte services, large conference packages, and special events.
- Demonstrate expertise in preparing both traditional Zambian and international cuisines.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of kitchen and front office staff to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and minimize waste to meet budgetary goals.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a dynamic management team.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of a Diploma in Food Production or related field.
- A Grade 12 Certificate.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef role.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in menu development for conferences and diverse culinary styles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Must be ready to relocate to Kabwe.
