We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Facilities Department Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and daily operations of company facilities to ensure a clean, functional, and secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance, cleaning, and security staff within the facilities department.
- Oversee general repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility inspections.
- Ensure that all earth moving machines, light vehicles and other machines are serviced and operatig efficiently to avoid downtime.
- Ensure all building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC ) are operating efficiently.
- Monitor and manage utility usage and facility-related budgets.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized services.
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, safety inspections, and service reports.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance across all facilities.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Full grade 12 certificate
- Degree/Diploma in Facilities Management, Production and Operations management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a facilities, Maintenace or logistics supervisory role preferably at a factory, mine or similar industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Good leadership, organizational, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
- Possessing a valid driving license is an added advantage
- Computer literacy and report-writing skills are essential.
