JOB DETAILS:
Position: Field Monitor
Location: Matapala Refugee Camp
Purpose of the Position
To monitor and facilitate refugee programming activities at Mantapala Refugee Camp. To handle and monitor distributions, documentation and reporting for food and non-food items (NFI) in line with WVI and donor standards. S/he will also communicate World Vision’s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others. .

Major Responsibilities
• Ensure that food and Non- food Items (NFIs) received at Food Distribution Points (FDP) is handled with high integrity and accountability levels in compliance with WVI, donor and other international standards.
• Generate distribution and monitoring reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and submit the same to the Program Coordinator for onward submission to Commodities Officer.
• Prepare distribution plans and report on planned against distributed at the end of each distribution cycle.
• Monitor and report all security situation at distribution points and ensure complaints from beneficiaries are well handles and referred at all times.
• Work with the local committees, UNHCR, Refugee Officer and other players in organizing and monitoring the distribution processes and accounting for food and Non- food Items NFIs entrusted to World Vision Zambia.
• Facilitate training communities and refugees in various aspects of the program.


Qualifications/Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills, Experience, Competencies and attributes
• Minimum a Diploma in Social Work, Accounting, Development Studies and related field with two years’ experience.
• Experience in food aid management and accounting or disaster management will be an added advantage.
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and data analysis software is recommended.
• Must have good analytical, writing, organizing and communications skills.
• Ability to work in a hostile and fast paced environment.
• Should be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
• Attend and participate/lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
• Perform other duties as required.


Working Environment / Conditions
• Work environment: Office-based with 90% field
• Travel required
