Flavours Festival 2025 – Zambia’s biggest food, drink and lifestyle celebration – is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Manager to lead the planning and on-ground execution of this high-energy, high-profile event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Flavours Festival 2025
Oversee site layouts, supplier coordination, security, logistics, ticketing, venue and vendor management
- Coordinate with chefs, performers, partners, sponsors, media, exhibitors, and stakeholders
- Ensure delivery of all festival components including the Main Arena, VIP Marquee, Live Cooking Demos, Bar Stations, Kids’ Area, and Activation Zones
- Develop and manage detailed event production schedules and checklists
- Supervise event staff, runners, interns, and service teams
- Manage pre-event set-up, live event logistics, and post-event debriefs
- Liaise with local authorities for permits, compliance, and safety
- Ensure seamless guest experience, health & safety, and flow of activities across the grounds
- Provide real-time issue resolution and team direction on event days
Assist with budgeting and supplier payments where required
Requirements:
- 4+ years of proven experience managing medium to large-scale events or festivals
- Strong organisational, multitasking and leadership skills
- Excellent vendor management, budgeting and negotiation experience
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and solve problems in real time
- Strong communication and team coordination skills
- Experience managing large event teams and multiple event zones
- Familiarity with Zambian event regulations, HORECA and entertainment industries is a plus
- Available for full-time commitment during pre-production and all festival dates
