FLEET CONTROLLER

Are you passionate about transport operations and fleet management? We are seeking an organized and proactive Fleet Controller to oversee and optimize the day-to-day coordination of our fleet. If you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoy problem-solving on the move, this role is for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor fleet movements using internal tracking systems.
• Ensure proper documentation for all vehicles and trips.
• Liaise with drivers to provide support and resolve issues.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Communicate with border and customs teams for cross-border operations.
• Prepare and submit daily reports on fleet activity.
• Respond to emergencies or breakdowns and coordinate roadside assistance with workshop.
• Ensure that drivers have valid licences ie insurance, permits, passports, driver visa etc.
• Manage Driver Coaching.
• Manage the generation of daily drivers register and preparation of driver status report.
• Tracking drivers and making follow-up to ensure expedite traffic movement and timely loading/ delivery.
• Manage driver discipline.
• Ensure drivers adhere to health and safety policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Minimum Diploma in Logistics & Transport.
• Must be a Member of Zambia Chartered of Logistics and Transport.
• Computer Literate a MUST.
• At least Five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong organization, reporting and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent issues calmly.
