I. Basic Job Information
Job Title: Flotation Engineer
Department: Production & Operations Department
Work Location: Plot No.2915 off Chiwala Road, Bwana Mkumbwa, Ndola, Copperbelt Province, Zambia
Salary Range: 3,000 - 6,000 ZMW /month
Number of Vacancies: 1
Employment Type: Full-time, must be able to adapt to shift work
II. Job Responsibilities
Process Operation and Control: Responsible for daily production operations in the flotation workshop; start, operate and shut down flotation machines and other equipment in strict accordance with process procedures; accurately control key parameters such as pulp density, stirring speed and aeration volume to ensure stable and efficient flotation process.
Reagent Management and Adjustment: Based on ore properties and production indicators, accurately measure and add flotation reagents such as collectors and frothers; real-time monitor the effect of reagent use; timely optimize reagent formulas and dosage to balance mineral processing efficiency and cost control.
Equipment Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct daily inspections on the operation status of flotation machines, agitation tanks, thickeners and other equipment; record equipment parameters; promptly identify and handle common faults such as slurry leakage and abnormal noise; perform daily equipment maintenance (e.g., cleaning flotation cells, calibrating liquid level control mechanisms) to reduce equipment failure rate.
Quality Monitoring and Improvement: Regularly sample and analyze concentrate grade and tailings indicators; track changes in flotation foam thickness and quality; promptly adjust process parameters in response to index fluctuations to ensure product quality meets standards; participate in process optimization discussions and put forward suggestions for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Data Recording and Compliance: Standardize the filling of production logs; detailedly record data such as raw material consumption, equipment operation and quality inspection; strictly abide by safety production rules and regulations; implement workshop safety protection measures and eliminate illegal operations.
III. Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Major: Bachelor's degree or above; majors in Mineral Processing Engineering, Mineral Dressing Engineering, Chemical Engineering and other related fields are preferred.
Work Experience: At least 3 years of practical experience in flotation positions in mineral processing plants; familiar with flotation process flow of non-ferrous metals or non-metallic minerals; able to independently handle technical problems in production; candidates with working experience in similar enterprises are preferred.
Professional Skills: Proficient in the operation and maintenance of flotation equipment (e.g., self-priming/aerated flotation machines); master reagent properties and adjustment methods; able to optimize process parameters according to ore properties; possess basic data analysis and problem diagnosis capabilities.
Comprehensive Qualities: Aged 25-40 years old; good health condition, able to adapt to workshop shift work and production environment; strong sense of responsibility, meticulous work attitude; good teamwork and communication skills.
Others: Candidates with relevant professional qualifications in mineral processing are preferred.
