Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will provide overall strategic leadership and oversee the effective management of operations, finance, and business growth.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, including waste collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement business plans, budgets, and performance targets
  • Manage stakeholder relationships including local authorities, regulators, and clients
  • Drive revenue growth, cost control, and service excellence
  • Prepare and present management and performance reports to the Board

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • A Master’s Degree (MBA, Environmental Management, or similar) will be an added advantage
  • At least six (6) years post-qualification experience in a busy, fast-paced environment, with a minimum of three (3) years at senior management level
  • Demonstrated experience in solid waste management, utilities, logistics, environmental services, or municipal services is highly desirable

  • Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making skills
  • Sound financial and operational management expertise
  • Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of environmental and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
