Job Summary:
The Head Baker will lead the bakery team at our new Quick Service Restaurant in Ndola, overseeing the production of breads, pastries, and desserts. This role requires creativity and leadership to ensure our baked goods meet high-quality standards and delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production of a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts.
  • Develop recipes and ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Manage the bakery team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order baking supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Maintain a clean and safe bakery environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to align bakery offerings with the overall menu.
  • Introduce seasonal or specialty baked goods to attract customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of baking experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in a QSR, bakery, or high-volume production setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and recipe development.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts and manage high-volume orders.
  • Must be a Copperbelt resident or willing to relocate to Ndola.
