Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations of our new Quick Service Restaurant in Ndola. The Head Chef will oversee menu creation, food preparation, and kitchen staff management, ensuring high-quality food and efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a diverse menu tailored for a QSR, focusing on pizza, grill, and salad offerings.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to maintain profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Complex Manager to align kitchen operations with business goals.
  • Innovate and introduce new menu items to keep offerings fresh and appealing to customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (e.g., Head Chef or Sous Chef).
  • Proven experience in a QSR, fast-casual, or high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pizza, grill, and salad preparation techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards during busy shifts.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and inventory management.
  • Must be a Copperbelt resident or willing to relocate to Ndola.
