Job Purpose
The HR & Admin Coordinator will be responsible for designing and evaluating career paths, overseeing all HR functions and Implementing strategies that meet the Company goals. The lead in the formulation of talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs and formulate career development plans. Providing functional human resources support to site with a focus on maintaining a motivated workforce that is committed to the success and values of our client. Promote inclusion in the workplace and reinforce our position as an equal-opportunity employer.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;

  • Provide advice, support and coaching to leaders in the areas of employee relations, policies, procedures, and performance management, ensuring tools and resources provided are consistently applied
  • Ensure all general employee queries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure our hiring, onboarding and management procedures are effective for diverse groups
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of all procedures and systems to create consistency within the People and Engagement function and monitor adherence and compliance
  • Evaluate training and development programs
  • Develop HR policies and procedures for the entire group
  • Analyze the effectiveness of our HR procedures and tools
  • Ensure HR plans align with our mission and business objectives
  • Plan and Coordinate a smooth onboarding process.
  • Take charge of resolving Employer and Employee conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
  • Carrying out necessary administrative duties (Transport and Logistics)
  • Provide support and guidance to leaders in the areas of recruitment, succession planning and employee development
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of all reports for the People and department and effectively communicate, analyse, and interpret information gathered
  • Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
  • Creating clear and concise HR reports.
  • Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety compliance.
  • Foster a positive climate for an engaged, diverse, and inclusive workforce to drive a performance-based culture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience in the same or similar capacity working for either a Mine or Mining Exploration Firm
  • Must have HR site/field work experience 
  • Proven experience in Administration and operations management
  • Exposure to employment legislation, investigations, and performance case management
  • Ability to work autonomously while building collaborative relationships and a team-focused approach
  • Experience in educating and coaching offsite staff.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  • Good understanding of the Zambian labour legislation
  • Must be ready to travel to different sites at short notice 
  • Must have proven experience in Health and Safety in the workplace  
  • Must be a member of the ZIHRM
