A growing copper start-up mine located in Kapiri Mposhi, with administrative operations in Lusaka, is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Human Resources Practitioner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems and a comprehensive understanding of human resource management within an industrial or mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the company’s payroll system with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory obligations
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals
  • Coordinate with both Lusaka-based admin and Kapiri site teams for HR-related needs

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience managing payroll systems
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong understanding of Zambian labor laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information

Work Location:

  • Primary: Kapiri Mposhi (site-based)
  • Secondary: Some administrative duties based in Lusaka
