A growing copper start-up mine located in Kapiri Mposhi, with administrative operations in Lusaka, is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Human Resources Practitioner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems and a comprehensive understanding of human resource management within an industrial or mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer the company’s payroll system with accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory obligations
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals
- Coordinate with both Lusaka-based admin and Kapiri site teams for HR-related needs
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience managing payroll systems
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong understanding of Zambian labor laws and HR compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information
Work Location:
- Primary: Kapiri Mposhi (site-based)
- Secondary: Some administrative duties based in Lusaka
