At BDO Zambia, we have a rapidly growing IT department looking for enthusiastic professionals to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system backups, updates, and patches.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
- Assist in the implementation of security measures to protect company data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to design and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in system administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in Helpdesk and Ticketing Systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
