As a Laundry Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the laundry department. Your role is to ensure efficient and effective laundry services, manage a team of laundry staff, maintain quality standards, and uphold proper inventory control and safety practices.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the operations of the laundry department, including staff scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
• Ensure the timely and efficient processing of laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, folding and ironing, while maintaining quality standards.
• Train and mentor laundry staff on proper laundry procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols and customer service.
• Maintain inventory control of linen, uniforms, ensuring appropriate stock levels and conducting regular audits.
• Coordinate with maintenance technicians as needed.
• Monitor the safety and hygiene practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of chemicals.
• Implement and maintain laundry policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure laundry meets established standards for cleanliness.
• Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to laundry services.
• Develop and maintain effective communication channels with other departments to coordinate laundry services and meet their needs.
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to laundry operations, including productivity, inventory, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a laundry or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of laundry processes and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with laundry chemicals, stain removal methods, and proper fabric handling.
• Maintain high quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with the staff.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficient in using computer for record keeping, scheduling, and reporting purposes.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights and holidays if necessary.
