Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation (MEF), is a faith based, non-denominational and Pan African Centre of Study, Worship and Reflection. It is located in Mindolo, Kitwe District on the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.
MEF is looking for a motivated and hardworking Logistics Officer/Driver on contractual basis at Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation Campus in Kitwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for transport services and purchasing logistics for the institution.
Responsibilities or duties
- Coordinating all daily purchasing of material and transportation for all departments/sections.
- Liaise with all departments to provide support with transport and procurement needs.
- Manage the filling of all purchasing documents i.e. quotations, invoices and receipts. in liaison with the Accounts Department.
- Track and monitor all movements of the institution’s motor vehicles.
- Manage all motor vehicles’ servicing and regulatory compliancy/certifications needs.
- Work closely with the Stores Officer to align with the purchasing needs.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor or principal officers.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate/GCE/Form Five (5).
- Minimum Certificate in Certificate in Procurement and Supply and/or Logistics Certificate in Logistics Operations.
- Valid SADC Class C Driver’s License.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- Have a strong sense of personal and work accountability.
- Able to multitask.
- Team Player.
- Thorough knowledge of Zambian road traffic legislation, regulations and cardinal rules and familiarity with driving conditions and restrictions.
- Sound knowledge of road networks in the major cities and towns of Zambia and thoroughly acquainted with the layout of Kitwe and other Copperbelt towns.
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic automotive inspection and maintenance procedures and working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
- Physical stamina to sit and remain alert while driving for an aggregate or continuous period of up to eight (8) hours.
- Well-disposed to short notice in the assignment of trips, tight delivery schedules and driving in all kinds of weather.
Experience needed
- At least 3 years of professional full-time driving experience.
- An overall accident-free (first-party caused) driving record for 5 years

- AGE: Above 20 years old
- Commencement of duty: 16th February, 2026.
- Background: Strong Christian background and able to work in an Ecumenical Environment.
- MEF- an affiliate of the All Africa Churches Conference (AACC) and the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ)
