We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Stores Officer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Procurement and Stores Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and stores management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and placing orders, while adhering to all applicable policies and procedures required for successful execution of the job.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels and reporting on inventory discrepancies, and ensure consistent and successful output at work in relation to company Policies, Procedures, and technical documents.
  • Ensure compliance with the HSE Policy, Quality, and Food Safety Policy and meet the requirements of the organization's Integrated Management System, ensuring consistent and successful output at work in relation to standards.
  • Cooperate with internal and external auditors during procurement and inventory audits, demonstrating the ability to answer questions appropriately and close findings promptly.
  • Make recommendations for continual improvement in procurement and stores management processes and support improvement initiatives the company undertakes, providing evidence of quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and implement inventory control measures to minimize losses.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and stores management.
  • Proven track record of managing procurement processes and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
