Job Summary

Kenya Airways is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join its Lusaka team. Reporting to the Country Manager – Zambia, the successful candidate will contribute to achieving passenger and cargo sales targets, manage a designated portfolio (trade and corporate clients), and support customer satisfaction through active engagement and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Market Development

  • Support and execute the country’s sales strategy, emphasizing direct channels and online platforms.
  • Increase market share within the existing customer portfolio.
  • Gather and present valuable market intelligence during weekly sales meetings.
  • Develop and implement portfolio-specific sales strategies and action plans.
  • Identify and address client objections effectively to deliver superior customer experiences.
  • Maintain a healthy prospect pipeline and regularly convert leads into active customers across B2B and B2C segments.
  • Manage sales calls and activities through CRM (weekly/fortnightly updates).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve commercial and administrative issues within trade and corporate frameworks.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Increase customer engagement through direct interaction (B2B & B2C).
  • Track and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Grow and maintain B2B and B2C customer databases.
  • Ensure continuous support throughout the client lifecycle, maintaining long-term relationships.

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Work seamlessly with internal Sales and Customer Experience teams.
  • Convert partnership leads and collaborate on business development efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of sales experience, preferably in a similar or related role.
  • Strong background in sales and customer service, including pipeline and CRM management.
  • Proven experience managing a diverse sales portfolio.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of formal sales processes and CRM tools.
  • Understanding of global and regional travel trends.
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Airline experience and ticketing knowledge will be a distinct advantage.
