Our client, a dynamic and growing fintech company based in Lusaka, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Officer to join their team. The Sales Officer will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting the company’s financial products and services.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a strong understanding of the fintech or financial services sector, and demonstrate a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets. This role requires a high level of self-motivation, integrity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Business Development
- Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through field visits, referrals, cold calling, and networking.
- Promote and sell the company’s fintech products and services to prospective clients across various sectors.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
3. Product Knowledge and Promotion
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s digital financial products and effectively communicate their value to clients.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to clients’ specific needs.
4. Sales Planning and Reporting
- Prepare and implement sales plans to achieve set targets and company goals.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
- Submit regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and competitor activity.
5. Collaboration and Team Support
- Work closely with marketing, customer support, and product teams to align sales strategies and improve the customer journey.
- Share market insights and client feedback to contribute to product development and improvement.
6. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, financial regulations, and data privacy standards.
- Ensure onboarding documentation is accurately completed.
7. Market Research
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
8. Target Achievement
- Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets within assigned timelines
- QualificationsMinimum of a Diploma in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, or financial services (experience in microfinance is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Must reside in Lusaka.
