The Opportunity

Hobbiton is seeking a sharp, analytical, and client-focused Securities Broker to join our growing team in Lusaka. If you already reside in Lusaka or are willing to self-relocate, this role offers a chance to be part of a fast-evolving digital finance ecosystem

What You Will Do

• Execute client buy and sell orders for equities, bonds, and other listed instruments in line with LuSE trading procedures.
• Provide investment advice aligned with clients’ financial goals and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze market movements, providing timely insights and trade opportunities.
• Ensure all trades, reconciliations, and returns comply with SECZ, LuSE, and company policies.
• Maintain continuous communication with clients on account status, settlements, and market trends.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and custodians to ensure seamless trade settlements.
• Educate clients on using the Patumba App for trading and provide feedback to internal teams for continuous product improvement

Requirements

• Full Grade Twelve or O-level Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or related field.
• Certification in Securities and Investment or equivalent qualification recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zambia (SECZ).
• Must have a valid Securities Dealer’s License issued by the SECZ.
• Must be an Authorized Dealer Representative with the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE).
• 3 plus years of practical experience in securities trading, brokerage, or capital markets.
