Job Description
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Security Administrative Assistant – LED (Fixed Term Contract) to join the Lumwana Expansion Project Team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Coordinator – Security LEP, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of accurate and timely admin clerical service to the Security department.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and equipment setup.
• Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures inclusive of the company’s commitment to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
• Ensure compliance with overarching statutory requirements and adherence to international norms.
• Ensure all contractors and personnel on the expansion project are captured on time clocking with all requirements.
• Maintaining an updated register for all incoming contractors and visitors to ensure smooth access to site and/or induction and interview centers.
• Print and issue ID cards for all contractors and company employees after they are fully inducted.
• Work closely with Surveillance, Access Control, and Security Control personnel for access management.
• Provide personnel and contractors all required documentation such as gate passes and declaration slips.
• Track all Induction Booking Forms (IBF) approvals with the security Mine Investigation Group
• Ensure all Security Clearance Certificates are filled in by contractors before they can be forwarded to Mine Investigation Group for approval.
• Keeping an updated inventory of all office requirements & stationery
• Filing and updating of all documents
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
• Information Technology/ Computer Certificate desirable
• Security related or Social science certificate/diploma or better
• Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
• Previous employment in a multi-site industrial environment an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Clean Class B or C manual Driver’s license
