Position Summary:

The Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient management of the mining stores, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely issuance of parts and materials, and proper record-keeping to support seamless site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of all stock items (spare parts, tools, consumables, PPE).
  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records using a stock control system.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Prepare goods received notes (GRNs) and materials issuance vouchers.
  • Ensure proper binning, labeling, and organization of the storeroom.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requests for reordering to avoid shortages.
  • Liaise with procurement, maintenance, and project teams.
  • Knowledge of mining spare parts, tools, and site consumables is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Purchasing & Supply, Stores Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Storekeeper.
  • Experience in a mining or industrial stores environment is a strong advantage.
  • Computer literacy and experience with inventory management software is required.
  • Strong numerical and organizational skills.

General Requirements:

  • Honest, meticulous, and systematic.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be based in Solwezi or willing to relocate immediately.
