Position: Stores Officer

Location: Lusaka

About Newrest Zambia Limited

Newrest Zambia Limited is a leading food service and catering company providing quality services to diverse industries. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Stores Officer to strengthen our supply chain and inventory management function.

Job Purpose

The Stores Officer will be responsible for effective inventory management, ensuring accurate stock records, proper storage of goods, and timely support to procurement and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control inventory, stock levels, and supplies
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory documentation
  • Conduct routine stock counts and investigate variances
  • Support procurement activities through stock planning and requisitions
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and issuance of goods
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures
  • Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Certificate in Stores Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (added advantage)
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant work experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High levels of reliability, discipline, and accountability
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
