Background

Aller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions. The roles will be based at the Aller Aqua Zambia Factory, in Siavonga.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead mechanical technicians and artisans.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance activities.
  • Ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical faults and provide technical guidance.
  • Oversee installation, repair, and overhaul of mechanical systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize production downtime.
  • Manage spare parts usage and report stock requirements.
  • Train and mentor junior mechanical staff.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma or Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and maintenance systems).
